EXPERIENCES

"It was a fulfilling experience on every level."

Alejandro Truppel

This was my first real working experience in a multinational company and I was not really sure what to expected, however from the first day I was made very welcome by my team and the entire company. Everyone was very helpful and patient, not only willing to teach, but also integrating me in the group. I like what I am doing and I feel I can make a contribution. The internship introduced me to the working environment of a multinational corporation and gave me hands-on experience in the business field in general and of Siemens in particular. After this experience I am convinced that I would like to work in a company like this one in a future.

To work with Siemens in a foreign country is a great and unique opportunity: pleasant working environment, nice colleagues as well as exiting and challenging tasks! Beside the professional aspect it is a great experience to meet a lot of new people, both locals as well as other foreigners. This experience will certainly broaden my mind!

It was a good choice to join Siemens in Malaysia, the country is beautiful and the colleagues are obliging and helpful.

It is an interesting experience to work for a company like Siemens Malaysia, the structure here is always good for a surprise.

" What most impresses me with my internship with Siemens Malaysia is the working together of so many different cultures. Among us interns you find more than four religions: Budhists, Muslim, Christians, Hindus and Atheists. This coming together of so many different backgrounds always provides new insights and new point of views for me. "

I had a wonderful working experience during my internship in Siemens Malaysia. I was assigned to work in Regional Learning Management (Asia Pacific). All the tasks assigned were challenging and exciting. My boss and mentor guided me a lot at the beginning and gave me much freedom to work on it with my own working style. I learned a lot from them. On the other hand, interns are always welcomed by the employees here. I know a lot of friends and colleagues who come from different cultures, background and countries. I was happy to work with them in the organization. I am very sure that this working experience will be very useful for me in my working development in future.

“ My internship in Siemens Malaysia has been a good exposure and a knowledgeable one too in terms of work culture, self development and the challenges faced as an engineer. It provided me with a rather excellent insight on what to expect in the future and valuable knowledge from various experts who worked together with me and who were ever willing to teach and help me when necessary. It has really been a great learning experience and a wonderful one too!”

Working in Asia is for me a big challenge because the (working- and life-) environment is very different from Europe, particular from Germany. I gained crucial experience for a new understanding for working across cultural boundaries.

For the future I realized that abilities like communication, go up to people and understand the way they thing will help me to orientate and work effectively with any different cultures.

To have the opportunity to do an internship at Siemens Malaysia is very exciting for me, since it is possible to gain international working experience, broaden my horizon and get connected with people from every walk of life.

I work at Siemens Communication department and support the GLC (Government Link Company) -Team with all matters concerning commercial activities such as Creating Purchase Orders, Delivery Notes in SAP, Billing, Delivery, Closing of WBS etc.

My internship at Siemens Multimedia was an exciting experience in all ways. My team was very helpful and they never had any problems in transmitting their knowledge to me. I worked in different projects and always received recognition for my effort in them. The feedback I received during and after every project was very useful for me because it allowed me to know what I was doing right and what I had to improve. The team atmosphere was excellent, even in the difficult moment where everybody is in a hurry because a project has to be presented. I think this experience was very useful for my professionally and personally because it gave me knowledges that I am going to need in a near future.

My experience with Siemens was nothing short of great. As an intern in the Corporate Finance Department I was given a significant amount of responsibility from day one. I do not think there is any better way of gaining practical industry experience than doing an internship in such a friendly and supportive environment Siemens Malaysia has to offer.

Christine Krampetz

My internship at Siemens Malaysia was an exciting learning experience, both personally and professionally. Not much could have been better: I worked on several challenging projects in an excellent team atmosphere. My boss gave me much freedom and supported my ideas. At the same time there was a lot of feedback – positive and negative – which motivated me and pushed me even further. I feel that my contribution was valued and had an impact.

Looking back, the time was absolutely worth it and was an important step in the development of my character and abilities.

Working in another country with an international team is a great experience. I was fully integrated in my team and active involved in several projects. You get in touch with people from different cultures, get to know their "way of life". My time in Malaysia was full of new experiences, new challenges and new friends

Kathrin Fischer

I was fully responsible for the whole process of the Employee Opinion Survey. Beside that I also worked on the new homepage and the People Development Process. I had all possibilities to involve my creativity and my own ideas. All colleagues were friendly, open-minded and they fully supported me during my whole stay. We had a lot of fun together during special Corporate Human Resources events ;-)

In the Siemens Malaysia Internship Programme I could share my experience with other interns. At the weekends I took the chance to travel around the beautiful country.

The internship gave me not just a new perspective of Human Resources I also learned how to work with different cultures and won new friends for my life

Anja Lux

My Internship at Siemens was great experience for me. In the begining I was friendly welcomed by my colleagues. My task - to improve Customer Relationship Management in the A & D department - was Interesting, because I could work together with many colleagues and contact other Siemens employees.

My boss gave me much freedom to carry out my assignment indepedently and so I got a real insight into working life.

It was interesting and easy to get to know the culture and the country as Siemens offered many leisure time activities like diving, rafting, etc
