What is the minimum required time for the internship at Siemens?
In order to ensure integration into Siemens Malaysia at least three months
of internship are required.

What to do when I am ill?
In the event you shall be unable to present for work, the first thing you do
is you call the Head of Department/Department Secretary/Team Assistant!

Where to go at lunchtime?
There are a lot of good restaurants near the office in Phileo 1 and 2. (When
you go down to the canteen and then out to the car park, they are to the left
and to the right) Of course, you can ask your buddy to recommend some nice
places to you.
4.
Do I get a reference letter once my Internship is complete?
Yes you do. Upon completion your superior will write a reference letter.

How to get around in KL?

There are also lots of taxis you can take. But make sure the meter is switched
on. Between midnight and 6.00 a.m. there is a 50 % surcharge on the metered
fare.

What about health insurance?
Health insurance is your own responsibility. Probably you need to take out
an additional insurance for your stay in Malaysia. If the need should occur
you have to pay for medication yourself and present the receipts to your insurance
company upon return home.

Do I have to pay tax?
No. The amount you get is net.
4.
What is the process flow for applying a work permit if I am successful?
Once you have got an offer of internship, you will be required to prepare and submit the following documentation to us 2 months in advance upon your commencement of internship to ensure your work permit is approved in a timely manner.
- 4 passport size photographs with colours
- A copy of passport (Every Page)
- Curriculum vitae / Resume ***
- A copy of Acadmic Qualification (Degree/Diploma/Certificate/etc...)***
- A letter (all in English) from your university confirming
- - you are a student at that university
- - the degree you are pursuing
- - duration of your study or you need internship
- - the exact dates you will start and end your internship in Malaysia
- - and the university has no objection to your taking up an internship in Siemens Malayisa

Where to stay?
You can find reasonably priced short-term accommodation on the following websites:

However, the best thing for long-term accommodation is a condominium. You can
rent a room in one of the flats in a condominium. There are two condominiums

As an intern, am I allowed to open a bank account in Malaysia?
Yes, you are. Just bring along all the necessary document needed for the bank, especially your passport.
7.
Where is the nearest bank?
The nearest bank will be Alliance Bank which is situated at the Lobby.
